Every year approximately 7793 kilotons textile waste created in India which is 8.5% of global textile waste. Multiple reasons contribute to India's crisis with textile waste. First and foremost, the fast fashion culture, which is characterised by inexpensive, throwaway apparel, has contributed to higher consumption and faster disposal rates. Inadequate waste management infrastructure and obsolete manufacturing techniques further compound the issue by enabling enormous amounts of textile waste to be burned or deposited in landfills, harming human health and the environment. In India, addressing the textile waste issue is crucial for both environmental preservation and the possibility of major economic and social growth. It need an integrated approach that covers the entire textile value chain to solve the problem of textile waste. Sustainable practises must be used at every level, from design and production to consumption and disposal. To achieve this our project focus is to use eco-friendly materials, advance the circular economy, build a solid waste management infrastructure, and raise consumer knowledge of sensible consumption and disposal practises. So we will develop a systemic plan that will encourage creative solutions, cooperation between business stakeholders, governmental agencies, non-profit groups, and the general public. The effort to solve the textile waste problem in India is not only essential but also a driving force behind sustainable growth and a better future for all.
