Our Project’s Sustainable Development Goal is focussed on Zero Hunger. Implementing scan card system and food counters for homeless to reduce starvation .This project aims to address food insecurity among homeless individuals in India. By scanning their cards homeless individuals will be able to access their allocated quota of food items ensuring fair and consistent distribution. Moreover, scan card system will enable real time monitoring and reporting. It will also help to identify any sort of irregularities or potential abuses, enhancing accountability and transparency. Through these efforts the project aims to alleviate hunger and improve the livelihoods of homeless individuals in India by providing them with consistent access to nutritious meals and comprehensive support services. Our project aims to collect the surplus food from restaurants, hotels and parties to supplement the food bank’s inventory. Additionally, collaborations will be established with local eaters and event organisers to collect excess food that would otherwise go to waste. Therefore, the collected surplus food will be promptly transported to food banks for sorting, quality checking and re-distribution. Through this project this approach not only reduces food waste but also maximises the available resources to provide a wider variety of meals to those in need.
