Sustainable production of construction steel through urban mining: using recycled materials for greener future.  Construction steel plays a major role in the construction and building industry. Normally out of less awareness the extraction of raw material to produce construction steel involves the use of virgin mining which is harmful for the environment but now a new emerging technique is emerging known as urban mining which involves using recycled materials instead of extracting the new ones.  Urban mining focuses on recovering and recycling metals from urban sources like old buildings, infrastructure, and discarded products by using these methods of extraction we can reduce the need for additional mining which contributes well towards the environment.  While it involves some risks and challenges efficient logistics, proper recycling infrastructure are needed for collecting, sorting and processing the materials for the production. One more risk involves maintenance of optimum quality control to insure the strength, sustainability and longevity of the construction steel made from recycled material.
