The scope of the project involves a desalination plant to convert sea water to fresh water by using a freshwater generator which involves the method of reverse osmosis at the Seaport in Berbera, Somalia. This will produce enough tap water to satisfy the population of a 100,000 people initially at an affordable price. This will reduce the time spent in collecting water and help the economy of Berbera. This project will overcome the people of Berbera to find pail of water which will generate good hygiene practices. The major risk associated with this project is about electricity as plant require huge electricity supply to produce 5000 metric tonnes of water and other major issue is fund raise. The UNSDG goal covered are clear water and sanitation, Good health and well-being, decent work and economy growth, Responsible consumption and Production and Partnership for the Goal.
