The GreenCash card is a new wallet system which can be used to access public transport such as buses and trains which in return adds points to the account when a certain amount of distance had been travelled using the money in the card. The points can be used to get a reduction in taxes, energy and water bills. This can be achieved by collaborating with the government and local councils. This will influence people to use public transportation more often, which in time reduces the greenhouse gas emissions and also leads to quicker and safe transportation due to reduction in traffic congestion. In this as a team we are developing supporting system to monitor the usage of public transportation by every individual and travel history database to be maintained. In initial stage this program can be launched in highly populated Tier-1 cities in UK such as London, Birmingham and Manchester. Later it can be expanded across the world. The prime target of investor’s for this project will be government and NGO’s, in future we are aiming to collaborate with private agencies with a same vision towards carbon neutrality. This proposed idea aims to achieve the UN sustainability goals of affordable and clean energy, sustainable cities and communities, decent work and economic growth, responsible consumption and production climate action and good health well-being.
