The goal of this project is to use the Internet of Things (IoT) to construct a smart indoor farming system. A sustainable approach to boosting food production and addressing the issues caused by scarce land and unpredictably bad weather is indoor farming. The initiative intends to reduce manual intervention, improve agricultural output, and optimise resource utilisation by adding IoT. Data analytics, automated control systems, and sensor networks will all be components of the suggested system. To ensure ideal growing conditions, sensors will keep an eye on important environmental factors like temperature, humidity, light intensity, and soil moisture. These sensors will be linked to a central control unit, which will analyse the information and initiate the necessary steps. To ensure the best circumstances for plant growth, automated systems like irrigation systems, artificial lighting systems, and climate control systems will be dynamically modified. Remote real-time monitoring and management of the indoor farm will be possible thanks to the IoT platform. Data analytics algorithms will examine the gathered data and offer insights into the health, growth, and resource use of the crops. Farmers will be able to make well-informed decisions, allocate resources more efficiently, and anticipate possible problems thanks to this data-driven strategy. The initiative intends to demonstrate how modern indoor farming techniques may revolutionise conventional agricultural methods, improve sustainability, and advance food security. The system intends to accomplish effective resource management, increased crop yields, and minimal environmental impact by utilising IoT technologies. Additional information: Our project can also aim to revolutionize sustainable food production on Mars through the implementation of smart indoor Farming techniques . By leveraging cutting-edge technology and advanced agricultural practices, we can seek to address the critical challenge of ensuring a consistent and nutritious food supply for future Martian settlers.
