Charging By Air:  Our project is to facilitate highways with inductive chargers to enable wireless charging for electric vehicles. This makes it convenient for EV users as it is more affordable and efficient with minimal infrastructure usage which involves shoveling a section of the road and integrating a magnetic coil. Additionally, this aligns with four of UNESCO’s sustainable development goals such as affordable and clean energy, industry innovation and infrastructure, good health and well-being, and finally sustainable cities and communities. Using wireless charging technology will reduce battery size, eliminating the need to assemble the heavy batteries and reduces the overall weight of the car, which can further help reduce the nanoparticles being released from the rubber due to the wear and tear of tires and reducing the tensile and compressive stress on existing roads. Additionally, dependencies on mining activities of nickel, lithium, cobalt, and e-waste generation through improper labor abuse can also be reduced. This project can also promote EVs amongst common folk and help parallelly achieve United Kingdom’s 2030 carbon neutrality goals.
